Accessible Resource Hub
This Accessible Resource Hub is your online resource for inclusive services, programs, and support. At Thrive, we believe accessibility goes beyond removing barriers—it’s about fostering a trauma-informed environment where everyone can participate and succeed on their own terms. Our hub provides tools, information, and connections to help individuals access the support they need. From community programs and financial resources to mental health services and peer-led initiatives, we are committed to advancing accessibility across Manitoba. Together, we’re building a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
The Accessibility for Manitobans Act became law in December 2013, making Manitoba the second province, after Ontario, to introduce accessibility legislation.
The Accessibility for Manitobans Act affects all Manitobans. It provides a process to remove barriers for people with disabilities and includes those who can identify, remove and prevent barriers to accessibility.
The Accessibility for Manitobans Act consists of five standard building blocks for making real, measurable and effective changes to accessibility. Each standard outlines specific requirements and timelines for organizations that have a responsibility to comply with The Accessibility for Manitobans Act.

Creating a Welcoming and Accessible Space for Everyone
Ensuring your business or non-profit is open and accessible to all isn’t just good practice—it’s essential for building a truly inclusive Manitoba. When we remove barriers, we open doors for everyone to participate fully in our communities. Accessibility isn’t just about accommodating a few; it’s about recognizing that nearly every Manitoban either lives with a disability or will experience one at some point in their life.
By prioritizing accessibility, we’re not only doing the right thing—we’re creating a province where everyone can belong, contribute, and thrive. Let’s work together to build a community where no one is left out.

From September 2024 to March 2025 we supported over 500 community members through our accessibility initiatives through the Manitoba Accessibility Fund (MAF). The majority of participants—75% Indigenous and 20% Métis—face systemic barriers due to colonization, poverty, disability, and discrimination.
We also supported newcomers, seniors, youth, children, families, and individuals with invisible disabilities, including those with experience in the CFS system and those aging out of care.
The project improved access to services, reduced stigma, and created safer, more inclusive spaces—especially for those who often face intersectional barriers like racism, language, transportation, and lack of culturally relevant care.
