Parent Management Committee

The Thrive Childcare and Early Learning Centre invites parental involvement knowing interaction and engagement with our programs builds community and improves child development outcomes.

The Thrive Childcare and Early Learning Centre holds Parent Management Committee meetings in the blue room at 406 Edmonton Street. The committee serves a variety of functions:

  • We discuss topics that are important to our centre
  • Parents act in an advisory role, providing input into the day-to-day running of the Childcare centre
  • Through its elected members, the committee may provide feedback to the Thrive Board of Directors, to the Director and staff

Not only are parentsā€™ voices a tremendous value, the committee also fulfills a requirement for our provincial license.

The Parent Management Committee strives to represent the diversity within our community and contribute to the benefit of every family within the centre.

All parents, caregivers and guardians of children registered in the childcare centre are eligible to participate as a member of the Parent Management Committee.
