Women’s Sharing Circle:  This 8 week program is offered in a safe space for women. Each session is facilitated by our agency Elder. She brings to the women a traditional component of smudging and other teachings.

Our Elder has shared with us these words about this program: “While having this honour of walking with the women in the Sharing Circle, I have seen the growth and healing that the women have journeyed through. This process although emotional, has demonstrated several benefits. They have formed a sisterhood and a self-supporting group, that discusses varying topics. Some of these topics are lifestyle changes of single parenting, being a grandparent and family expectations. We discuss addiction and change; sometimes we talk about resilience and determination when they are the only ones in their family unit who are trying to maintain sober lifestyles. These women have become stronger together and built a network of comfort and support.”

POSTPONED TBA * Wednesday Afternoons * 1:00 to 3:00 pm

Men’s Sharing Circle: This group for men will address their life issues in a supportive environment. Each group begins with a brief check-in and ends with a brief check-out. The group is open to men who are wanting to actively work towards their journey:

Positive Discipline:  The program is for moms, dads and caregivers of children of all ages. It addresses common issues that arise between birth and the end of adolescence. It can be helpful for any family. This program is also for future parents. And it is for those who support parents, such as parent educators, parent group facilitators, and family support workers. Some children have particular challenges that are not typical for their age. These include autism, attention deficit disorder, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, developmental delays and brain damage. If your child’s behavior is of particular concern, you should seek help and advice as early as possible. While this program can be helpful for any family, parents of children with atypical conditions are advised to seek additional guidance from specially trained professionals, such as family doctors and public health nurses.
