Help people living with Mental Health challenges Thrive!
Mental health is our cognitive, behavioral, and emotional wellbeing – how we think, feel, and behave. Mental health can affect daily life, relationships, and even physical health. The rate of mental illness among Manitoba children is almost double the national average, and even higher in Winnipeg’s inner-city neighbourhoods where Thrive is located. One in seven Manitoba kids between the ages of 6 and 19 are diagnosed with a mental disorder. Over 28% of Manitoban adults deal with mental illness and these numbers continue to increase. Thrive works with many participants whose daily life is impacted by their mental health through:
-Women and Men support groups
-Health and Wellness programs
-Counselling therapy
-Food, clothing, hygiene and baby supplies
-Drop in crisis support
We need your help in supporting our most vulnerable people to improve a life, heal a life and save a life.
