Thrive Community Support Circle hosted its 2nd Annual Quiz Night, a fundraising event on April 24, 2024 that celebrated the organization’s 50 years of supporting those in need. The event was a huge success; attendees, donors, board members, and volunteers were all thanked for their contributions.
The fireside chat, hosted by Anne Mahon and featuring Dakotah, was a major highlight of the evening. Dakotah shared her inspiring story of how Thrive supported her at different stages of her life. At just 16 years old, Dakotah visited Thrive with her baby and received essential baby supplies and layettes from what was then called Pregnancy and Family Support Services Inc. Two years later, she completed her practicum at Thrive, a full-circle moment for her and the organization alike.
The Quizzlers, a friendly competition organized by Thrive, made the interactions engaging and fun. Attendees formed teams and participated in a quiz that tested their knowledge of popular culture, history, and current events. The winning team received a prize, but everyone left with a sense of camaraderie and community.
Thrive also sold merchandise at the event, and the funds raised will go towards supporting the mental health programs at Thrive Community Support Circle. The organization raised $1,825, and they expressed their gratitude to all those who purchased their merchandise.
It was a wonderful night filled with laughter, learning, and community building. The event was a testament to Thrive’s commitment to supporting those in need and their dedication to creating a safe and inclusive community. As the night came to an end, attendees left with a sense of excitement and anticipation for next year’s event.
Let’s do this again!
