Position: Early Childhood Education Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking two Early Childhood Education Assistants to join our team for 8 weeks from June to August. As an Early Childhood Education Assistant, you will work closely with experienced educators to support the daily operations of our childcare programs and contribute to the overall well-being and development of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and programs.

– Ensure a safe and stimulating environment for children.

– Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.

– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare facility.

– Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents.

Qualifications:

– Experience working with young children in a childcare setting is an asset.

– Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Community Peer Support 

Salary: $17.00 per hour

This position may lead to permanent employment serving the resource centre at Thrive Community Support Circle 406 Edmonton St 3rd Floor.

The applicant must be a student under 30 years of age due to CSJ grant criteria.

Thrive Community Support Circle operates a vibrant drop-in centre and outreach program in downtown Winnipeg. We are dedicated to empowering individuals and families by providing essential support services and fostering community engagement.

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate individual to join our team for the summer. As a Community Support Peer, you will play a crucial role in assisting with our drop-in centre operations, food outreach initiatives, and inventory management. This position has excellent potential to lead to a permanent position after a successful probationary period.

Your Duties:

– Welcome and assist individuals accessing our drop-in centre and food outreach services.

– Help organize and distribute food items to community members in need.

– Maintain inventory records and assist with inventory management tasks.

– Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient program operations.

– Provide information about available support services and resources.

– Assist with general tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

– Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards individuals facing challenges.

– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

– Previous experience in customer service or community support is an asset.

– Must be between 15 and 30 years old to meet the criteria of the Canada Summer Jobs position.
