Thrive’s Safety Club: Ensuring Your Safety Within Our Community

In a world filled with uncertainty, one thing stands unwavering—community support. The morning was chilly, but it did not deter the dedicated members of the Thrive’s Safety Club from venturing out into our neighborhood for their weekly outreach. This program, an extension of Thrive Community Support Circle, is all about safeguarding the safety and well-being of our community members. At 9:40 am, a dedicated team armed with supplies, including Harm Reduction Kits, hygiene materials, clothing, food, and water, embarks on a mission that is making a real difference.

Preparing supplies

The essence of Thrive’s Safety Club is rooted in its commitment to community safety and support. Each week, a group of compassionate Thrive team members assembles vital supplies. These essentials, ranging from clothes to necessities like naloxone, are designed to improve the quality of life within our community. They do not stop at just providing supplies; they also share important information about a potent drug called “purple down” circulating in the area and offer drug alerts along with naloxone kits.

As the team sets out on their mission, they tread the very street they call home – The West End. This adds a deeply personal touch to their efforts. The outreach is not solely about distributing supplies and food; it is also about forging connections and comprehending the unique needs of the people they serve.

In a world that sometimes leave us feeling disconnected, initiatives like Thrive’s Safety Club serve as beacons of hope. This weekly outreach does not just provide essential supplies; it also fosters a sense of community. They remind us that we are all in this together. They are tirelessly working to ensure that our community thrives in safety and well-being.
