Safety Club Outreach – Supporting Community Connections
When:
- Tuesday mornings at 10:30 AM
- Friday afternoons at 1:30 PM
Our Safety Club Outreach team, led by Karlita and Steve, along with passionate volunteers, sets out to bring comfort and aid to those in need in the West End. We distribute food, clothing, and other supplies, while also sharing information about Thrive’s free services and programs that support mental health and well-being.
We visit shelters, encampments, park benches, and bus stops, always greeted with recognition and appreciation. By connecting with people, we offer not only physical aid but emotional support, making individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. Through these interactions, we provide opportunities for individuals to support one another, fostering a sense of community and promoting mental health.
Volunteers are welcome to join this meaningful work, with harm reduction and trauma-informed training and support provided. Together, we are building a connected, compassionate, and safer community in the West End, helping each other thrive.
